Wolf Gold slot review: Money Respin and fixed jackpots
Pragmatic Play's Wolf Gold explained: 25 fixed lines, free spins, the Money Respin and three fixed jackpots.
The legal status of casino-style games offered by bookmakers is disputed in South Africa and depends on the province that licenses the bookmaker.
Wolf Gold is a 25-line video slot from Pragmatic Play, released in April 2017, with a 96% RTP, medium volatility and a top win of 2,500x the stake. Its draw is the Money Respin, where moon symbols lock in place and can land one of three fixed jackpots. It is an older title, but its steady pace keeps it in the Pragmatic sections of many South African bookmaker lobbies.
How Wolf Gold plays
The game uses 5 reels and 3 rows with 25 fixed paylines, so every spin covers all lines. The wolf is the wild, standing in for other symbols to complete wins, and canyon and moon symbols drive the two features.
Wolf Gold features
- Free spins. Three canyon scatters trigger the free spins round, which the provider sheet lists as 6 or more free spins.
- Money Respin. Six or more moon symbols start the respin feature. The moons carry values and are what the feature pays out on.
- Fixed jackpots. During the Money Respin, three jackpots can land: Mini at 30x, Major at 100x and Mega at 1,000x the stake.
The Money Respin is where most of the game's larger payouts come from. Because the jackpots are fixed multiples of your stake, not progressive pools, their size depends only on how much you bet.
RTP and volatility in practice
A 96% RTP means the game returns, on average over a very large number of spins, R96 for every R100 staked. Medium volatility places Wolf Gold between frequent-small-win games and those that pay big but rarely. In practice that means a fair share of small line wins, with the features carrying the bigger results. The top win of 2,500x the stake is lower than many newer Pragmatic slots, which is part of why its swings are milder. The full figures are on the spec card on this page.

The legal status of slot-style games at bookmakers is disputed and depends on the province: a 2025 Supreme Court of Appeal ruling barred Gauteng bookmakers from bets on casino games, and the National Gambling Board reads it as national.
Wolf Gold demo and strategy
There is no playable Wolf Gold demo on this site. Pragmatic Play shows its games on its own website, and some licensed bookmakers have a demo mode; our demo games guide explains where to look.
