Gbets App: Download, APK Safety and Mobile Betting
How to get the Gbets app or mobile site safely, what to check before installing an APK, and which Gbets features you can use from your phone.
The Gbets app is the mobile way into your account at Gbets, a bookmaker licensed by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board under licence 10179096-014. The safe way to download it is from the licensed Gbets site itself, using the link on its own pages, rather than from an APK mirror or a link in a message. Which app versions Gbets currently offers, and on which phones they run, are set out on the operator's own site and change with updates; this page explains how to install safely and what you can do once you are in.
Gbets app download: the safe route
- Open a browser and type the Gbets address yourself, or use a bookmark you created earlier.
- Check the footer: it should say Gbets is licensed by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board, give licence number 10179096-014 and name the operator, Dymanex (PTY) Ltd.
- Use the app or download link on that site. On Android this may be an APK file, which your phone will ask permission to install.
- Allow installs only from that source and switch the permission off again afterwards.
- Sign in with your existing Gbets account. There is no separate registration for the app.
An APK from a file-sharing site may look identical and still contain something else. If a page offers a "modded" Gbets APK, a hidden link or bonuses that are not on the Gbets promotions page, leave it.
Gbets data-free app claims
"Data free" usually means a zero-rated mobile site or app, where browsing does not use your mobile data bundle. Whether Gbets offers a data-free version today, and on which networks, is a question for the operator's own site or support. Be wary of third-party pages promising a "data free Gbets app download": the only reliable source is Gbets itself.
What you can do in the Gbets mobile app
The app or mobile site gives you the same account as the desktop version. According to the operator's pages, that includes:
- Sports: football, rugby, cricket, tennis and basketball, with live betting, bet builder, cash out and multi-bet boosts;
- Racing: horse racing under the operator's racing and betting rules;
- Games: slots, live games, BetGames TV and crash games such as Aviator from Spribe, alongside providers like Pragmatic Play and EGT Digital;
- Lucky Numbers: a section for bets on lottery-style draws.
The slot and live games are offered under the provincial bookmaker licence, but their legal status is disputed nationally after a 2025 Supreme Court of Appeal ruling, so their availability depends on the province. More on the lobby is on our Gbets games page.
Deposits and support on mobile
Gbets lists EFT, credit card, 1Voucher and OTT Voucher among its payment methods for the account. Vouchers are handy on a phone because you enter a PIN rather than card details. Support is available through live chat, which Gbets describes as 24/7, as well as email and phone. New customers will see the welcome offer on mobile too: 50 Free Spins and a R50 Free Bet for new customers. Our Gbets promo code page covers the terms.
Phone betting with limits on
Having the app on your phone makes a quick bet very easy. Gbets offers self-exclusion and time-out tools and supports the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation's National Responsible Gambling Programme. You must be 18 or older to bet. Our responsible gambling page explains limits and the free 0800 006 008 helpline.
