YesPlay publishes an Android APK on its own site and points iPhone users to the App Store. Here is how to install either one safely.
The YesPlay app comes in two forms: on Android you download an APK file directly from YesPlay's own mobile page, and on iPhone or iPad you install it from the Apple App Store. Both are published by SA Sportsbook (Pty) Ltd t/a YesPlay, a bookmaker licensed by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. On Android, the YesPlay app download needs one change to your Android settings, explained below.

How to install the YesPlay APK on Android
- On your phone, type yesplay.bet into the browser yourself and open the mobile page.
- Use the download link for the YesPlay APK file on that page. Do not use APK links from other sites, Telegram or WhatsApp groups.
- When Android warns about installing from an unknown source, allow it for your browser only.
- Open the downloaded file and install.
- Switch the unknown-sources permission off again.
- Open the app and log in, or register if you are new.
Because the APK does not come through the Play Store, updates may need the same process. If the app asks you to update, get the new file from yesplay.bet, not from a pop-up link.
Getting the YesPlay app on iPhone
YesPlay's mobile page tells iPhone and iPad users to go to the Apple App Store and install from there. Search for YesPlay and check that the publisher details match before installing. App Store installs update automatically.
What you can do in the YesPlay bet app
The app gives access to the same account as the website. YesPlay says it offers betting on the majority of sporting events, with live in-play markets, and a lucky numbers section with over 100 lottos, including the 49s Lunch and Tea draws and Powerball. The games lobby names providers such as Habanero, Pragmatic Play, Red Tiger, NetEnt, Evolution and Spribe. Casino-style games at bookmakers are legally contested in South Africa; the Western Cape board permits them for its licensees, while the National Gambling Board disputes this.

Is the YesPlay APK safe?
An APK from the operator's own site is the official app, but the format is easy to imitate. Fake versions copy the logo and ask for your login. Check that the page you download from is on yesplay.bet and that its footer shows the licence: Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board, Bookmaker Licence No. 10180204-013, issued 26 November 2025. If anything asks for your card PIN or one-time password outside the normal deposit screen, stop.
