Lulabet Review: Licence, Sports Betting and Betgames

Lulabet is a legal South African bookmaker: the National Gambling Board's Verified Operators list carries Lula Bets (Pty) Ltd, trading as Lulabets, as a Western Cape bookmaker with licence number 10190073-005. This Lulabet review finds a sportsbook with in-play betting on soccer, tennis, basketball, rugby union and cricket, plus a Betgames section. Payment, bonus and app details are set out in Lulabet's own terms and change often, so check them on the site before you deposit.

You must be 18 or older to bet with Lulabet or any other licensed bookmaker in South Africa.

Is Lulabet legit? The licence in detail

The safest test of any bookmaker is whether the company and licence number appear on an official register. Lulabet passes it:

A Western Cape licence means the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board is the regulator to approach if a dispute with the bookmaker cannot be resolved through its own complaints process. Compare the licence number in the Lulabet footer with the register entry above; they should match. The licensed betting sites page explains how to read a licence notice.

Lulabet sports betting and in-play markets

The Lulabet homepage leads with an In-Play section and a Specials tab, followed by soccer, tennis, basketball and rugby union, with cricket and other sports further down. Markets, limits and cash-out options are set in the bookmaker's own sports rules.

If you bet during matches, compare in-play prices with at least one other bookmaker; live odds move fast and margins are often wider than before kick-off. Our live betting sites page compares operators on this.

Lulabet games: Betgames and Aviator

Betgames is the games product named on the Lulabet homepage. These are studio-run draw games streamed live, where each round is settled in minutes. Searches for Lulabet Aviator and other crash games are common; whether a given title is in the lobby at any moment is shown on the site itself. Slot-style and draw games at bookmakers are legally disputed: the Western Cape board permits them for its licensees, while the National Gambling Board disputes this following a 2025 Supreme Court of Appeal ruling in Gauteng.

Payments, 1Voucher and withdrawals

Lulabet's deposit and withdrawal methods, limits and processing times are set out in its own payment terms. Many licensed SA bookmakers accept vouchers such as 1Voucher alongside EFT and card, but confirm the methods in your Lulabet account before you buy a voucher. Withdrawals at every licensed bookmaker require a verified account and normally go to a bank account in your own name.

Registration and Lulabet FICA

Like all licensed bookmakers, Lulabet must verify your identity under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act. Expect to provide your ID or passport number at sign-up and to upload an identity document and recent proof of address when asked. Withdrawals are held until verification is complete.

Bonuses and the Lulabet free bet

Lulabet's current welcome offer, if any, is . Offers such as a free bet change often and are set out in the operator's own promotion terms. Before opting in, check the turnover, minimum odds and expiry. For a comparison of current offers see betting bonuses.

Lulabet contact number and branches

Use the contact details published on lulabet.com for support, rather than numbers shared on social media, which may not belong to the bookmaker. Lulabet's licence is a bookmaker licence; retail branches, if any, are listed by the operator itself.

Horse racing at Lulabet

Horse racing is not among the sports named in the Lulabet homepage menu. If racing is important to you, check the sports menu on the site or choose a bookmaker that clearly offers it, as compared on our betting sites page.

How Lulabet compares

Set against other licensed bookmakers, Lulabet is a straightforward sportsbook. Its licence is easy to verify, and the in-play menu covers the sports most South Africans bet on. Where it is harder to judge is the paperwork around money: bookmakers higher in our ranking publish their deposit methods, bonus turnover and protection tools on open pages, so a reader can compare them before registering. With Lulabet, those details come from the account area and the operator's terms.

Lulabet suits a bettor who mainly wants pre-match and in-play sports markets from a verified licence holder and is happy to read terms inside the account. If you want every condition visible before you sign up, compare it with other operators first.
