Bettabets app downloads: getting Bettabets on your phone
Where official Bettabets app downloads come from, how the mobile site compares, and what you can do from your phone.
Bettabets app downloads should come from one place only: bettabets.co.za, or an app store link published there. The site's current download options for Android and iPhone are set out on Bettabets' own pages and can change, and the mobile site gives the same account, Betta Sports, Betta Numbers and games if an app is not available for your phone. Whichever you use, Bettabets is run by Bettagaming Mpumalanga (Pty) Ltd and licensed by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator, licence number 9-2-1-09303.
Three checks before Bettabets app downloads
- Type the address yourself. Go to bettabets.co.za in your browser rather than tapping an advert or a forwarded link.
- Read the footer. It should name Bettagaming Mpumalanga (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2011/123025/07, and the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator licence.
- Use the site's own link. If an Android APK is offered, take it only from that page. A Bettabets APK from a third-party download site may be modified and can capture your login and banking details.
If you install an APK, Android will ask you to allow installs from your browser. Grant it for that one file, then turn it off again.
App or mobile site?
| Bettabets app | Mobile site | |
|---|---|---|
| Where you get it | From the link on bettabets.co.za | Any phone browser |
| Storage on your phone | Needs space for the install and updates | None beyond the browser |
| Account and balance | Same account | Same account |
| Updates | Install new versions when prompted | Always current |
For most people the difference is convenience, not features. Data-light phones or older handsets may run the mobile site more smoothly.
What the Bettabets mobile app gives you
The menu on Bettabets' site lists these sections, and they are what you reach on mobile too:
- Betta Sports for sports betting.
- Betta Numbers for lucky numbers bets on draws such as UK49s and Gosloto. These are bookmaker bets on the outcome of foreign draws, and their legal basis is contested under the Lotteries Act.
- Aviator and SkyPilot crash games.
- Vegas Games, Vegas Tables, BetGames and Virtual Games. Slot-style games at bookmakers are legally disputed in South Africa and the position depends on the province.
Deposits, bonus and FICA from your phone
Bettabets' direct deposit page lists an FNB bank account for deposits. Its promotions FAQ says new customers must register and deposit within 7 days to claim the welcome bonus, which can be used on Lucky Numbers or sports; details are on the Bettabets promo code page.
FICA documents can be uploaded through the account verification page, emailed to the address Bettabets publishes, or sent via live chat. A phone camera works well for this: photograph your ID and proof of address in good light, with all four corners visible. The full process is in our Bettabets registration guide, and the operator overview is in the Bettabets review.
Only people 18 and older may gamble. Bettabets' responsible gambling page points to the SARGF counselling line, 0800 006 008; our responsible gambling page covers limits and self-exclusion.
