Betshezi Casino Section: Spina Shezi Slots, Aviator and Live Games

The Betshezi casino section is the games side of a Western Cape licensed bookmaker: Spina Shezi slots from studios such as Habanero, Pragmatic Play and PopOK Gaming, the Aviator crash game and live dealer tables for blackjack, roulette and game shows, all played in rand from the same account you use for sports. It is not a separate casino licence. Betshezi is run by SMP Gaming (Pty) Ltd under a bookmaker licence from the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board, with a second licence from the Eastern Cape Gambling Board.

What is in the Betshezi casino lobby

Habanero and Pragmatic Play make up much of what South African players know from bookmaker lobbies. If you want to read up on a provider before playing, see our pages on Habanero slots and Pragmatic Play slots, which include spec cards with RTP and volatility for individual games.

Spina Shezi slots and how to choose one

Spina Shezi is simply Betshezi's name for its slot lobby. The titles differ in volatility and return to player, and the game's own information screen shows both. Lower-volatility slots pay small amounts more often; high-volatility ones pay less often but can pay more when they do. Neither changes the fact that the game keeps a share of all stakes over time.

Aviator and other crash games

Betshezi advertises Aviator on its homepage alongside its sports betting. Each round a plane climbs and the multiplier rises; you choose when to cash out, and if the round ends first the stake is lost. Rounds last seconds, which makes it easy to play many in a row. Our Aviator guide explains the rules and the auto cash-out option.

Bonus spins and the casino wallet

Betshezi's welcome offer is a match bonus over the first four deposits, currently Up to R10,000 in match bonuses over first four deposits, plus R50 bonus sports bet after FICA verification. According to its promotions page, match bonuses carry 20 times turnover and bonus spins five times, and wagering must be completed within three days. That is a short window, so do not take a bonus unless you plan to play in the next few days anyway. Full welcome terms are covered on the Betshezi promo code page.

The legal position of these games

Slot-style and live games at South African bookmakers are legally contested. The Western Cape board says its licensees may continue to offer their approved betting products, but the National Gambling Board reads a 2025 Supreme Court of Appeal ruling as barring casino-style games at bookmakers nationally, and national policy is still pending. Availability can change by province.

Games are for adults 18 and over only. Betshezi offers deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion, and the free National Responsible Gambling Programme line is 0800 006 008; see our responsible gambling page for how these work.
