Betfred app: download options and mobile betting in South Africa

Current app availability for Android and iPhone is set out on Betfred's own site and changes from time to time, so start there. Betfred app download: the safe route

1. Open betfred.co.za in your phone's browser and type the address yourself.
2. Scroll to the footer and check the licence notice: Betfred says it is licensed by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator under Bookmaker Licence Number 9-2-1-00039.
3. Follow the site's own link to the Google Play Store, Apple App Store or an Android file, whichever it offers.
4. Install, open the app, and confirm the same licence notice appears inside it.
5. Log in with your existing account or register; one account works on every device.

About the Betfred APK on Android

Some South African bookmakers offer Android apps as APK files from their own websites rather than through the Play Store. If Betfred offers an APK, Android will ask you to allow installs from that source for your browser. Allow it only for the file from betfred.co.za, and switch the permission off again afterwards. A Betfred APK from a file-sharing site, a WhatsApp group or an "Aviator predictor" page is not the bookmaker's app, and it can steal login details. On Samsung and other Android phones the steps are the same; only the menu names differ slightly.
